Software Engineer - QA

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer specialized in Quality Assurance to join our digital banking team in Dubai. The role involves designing, developing and executing test strategies for API‑driven, micro‑service applications across web and mobile channels.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive test strategies, test plans and test cases for digital banking applications, APIs, microservices and web/mobile channels.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, API, UAT and end‑to‑end testing across banking platforms.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites to increase coverage and release quality.
• Validate REST APIs, microservices, event‑driven integrations and backend services.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, Architects and DevOps teams throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, defect triage and release readiness assessments.
• Execute test automation within CI/CD pipelines and support shift‑left quality practices.
• Ensure compliance with banking security, audit, performance and regulatory requirements.
• Track, report and manage defects through resolution while meeting quality gates.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of QA experience, including at least 3 years testing enterprise applications and APIs.
• Proven experience in banking, financial services, digital banking, payments or FinTech environments.
• Strong understanding of API‑driven architectures and microservices ecosystems.
• Experience testing customer‑facing applications with high availability and security requirements.
• Familiarity with regulated and compliance‑driven environments.
