Software Engineer – Quality Assurance (Digital Banking)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer specialized in Quality Assurance to ensure the reliability and security of our digital banking platforms. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to design, execute and automate comprehensive test suites for web, mobile and API services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute test strategies, plans and cases for banking applications, APIs, micro‑services and web/mobile channels.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, API, UAT and end‑to‑end testing across banking platforms.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Rest Assured or Karate.
• Validate REST APIs, micro‑services, event‑driven integrations and backend services.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, Architects and DevOps throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, defect triage and release readiness assessments.
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines and support shift‑left quality practices.
• Ensure compliance with banking security, audit, performance and regulatory requirements.
• Track, report and manage defects to resolution while meeting quality gates.

Required profile

• 5+ years of QA experience, including at least 3 years testing enterprise applications and APIs.
• Background in Banking, Financial Services, Digital Banking, Payments, Lending or FinTech.
• Strong understanding of API‑driven architectures, micro‑services ecosystems and regulated environments.
• Experience testing customer‑facing applications with high availability and security requirements.
• Solid knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies, defect management and test automation best practices.
