Solution Architect - Data & Digital Engineering

About the role

techcarrot FZ LLC is looking for a Solution Architect in Dubai to lead the design of end-to-end solutions across data platforms and digital engineering initiatives. The role translates business needs into technical architecture and design specifications, aligns them with enterprise architecture frameworks and best practices (e.g. TOGAF), and works with business analysts, data engineers, software developers and DevOps teams.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and select technologies, platforms and frameworks for projects and the organization.
• Develop and maintain architectural artifacts such as high-level designs, data flow diagrams, system interaction maps and integration patterns.
• Drive approval of high-level designs through the governance process and advocate architectural principles, standards, patterns and policies.
• Perform business capability modeling and assessment, including As-Is, Transition and Target views, and recommend prioritized roadmaps and initiatives.
• Mentor engineering teams and stay current on emerging technologies and data architecture trends.
• Perform architecture assessments and present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in a solution architecture role with exposure to data and digital engineering.
• Experience in business architecture and business capability modeling, and in architecture governance.
• Experience in the automotive dealership and distribution industry (new and used vehicles).
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or a related field.
• Preferred certifications: TOGAF, CBA; Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert and Azure AI fundamentals are highly valued.

Required skills

• Strong exposure to AI and Gen AI, and experience with the Azure cloud platform.
• Software engineering principles, microservices, APIs and integration patterns.
• Agile/Scrum and familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
