Sommelier – Luxury Resort in Dubai

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Sommelier to join the BVLGARI Resort Dubai team, delivering world‑class wine service to our discerning guests. The role combines guest interaction, wine list management and staff training within a luxury hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with guests and staff to ensure seamless service and answer questions about wine origin, vintage and style.
• Create, update and maintain the resort’s wine list, including pairing recommendations for menu items.
• Conduct wine tastings, develop relationships with vendors, and request new wines and products.
• Design and implement wine promotions and incentive programs.
• Monitor and replenish wine cellar inventory, equipment and glassware, performing regular inventories and FIFO checks.
• Oversee opening and closing duties, including cleaning, securing storage areas and completing work orders.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling and coaching of wine service staff.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 2 years of relevant wine service experience.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of wine regions, vintages and styles.
• Ability to curate, update and present wine lists and suggest appropriate pairings.
