Sonographer

About the role

The Sonographer will work in radiography rooms, wards and various clinical areas on a 24‑hour on‑call rotation, providing diagnostic imaging services while strictly adhering to radiation safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review radiologic requests, determine appropriate regions and projections, and arrange patient flow.
• Transport, prepare, and position patients with care and courtesy.
• Operate and adjust advanced radiographic and sonographic equipment to obtain optimal images.
• Ensure patient safety by using specialized equipment and following radiation safety regulations.
• Review processed images for quality, assist with quality control, and maintain film processing units.
• Prepare and assist with contrast media administration and special radiographic procedures under radiologist supervision.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, keep equipment clean, and follow infection‑control protocols.
• Respond to emergencies, report hazards, and comply with OSH and waste‑management policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound or Sonography.
• Minimum two years of post‑qualification experience in a related field.
• Current license to practice in the UAE (DOH/DHA/MOH).
• Fluent in spoken and written English; Arabic is a plus.
