Sourcing Category Manager

About the role

The Sourcing Category Manager will lead strategic sourcing initiatives for specific spend categories within Emirates NBD Group, driving cost efficiencies, supplier performance and compliance with sourcing policies. Reporting to the Business Sourcing Senior Manager, the role focuses on vendor relationship management, negotiation and optimisation of sourcing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead vendor selection, negotiation and contract management to achieve cost‑saving targets while maintaining quality.
• Monitor contract compliance and work with business unit leaders to resolve non‑compliance issues.
• Drive annual productivity improvements and develop ideas to optimise total spend year‑over‑year.
• Identify and communicate new technologies and solutions relevant to assigned spend categories.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers and collaborate with the Vendor Performance Management team to monitor and improve supplier performance.
• Flag high‑risk suppliers and work with under‑performing vendors to enhance performance.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders at strategic, tactical and operational levels, including senior executives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree; CIPS Level 3/4 or higher preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in category management or a sourcing organisation.
• Proven track record of delivering cost‑saving initiatives and managing supplier relationships.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and negotiation capabilities.
• Clear understanding of the source‑to‑contract (S2C) cycle and cost‑efficiency drivers.
