Sous Chef – Buddha Bar – Pan‑Asian Cuisine

About the role

The Buddha Bar restaurant within the Luxury Collection seeks a skilled Sous Chef to lead the Pan‑Asian kitchen team. You will ensure high‑quality food preparation, presentation, and service while supporting the Head Chef in daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate cooks and kitchen staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Design and execute decorative food displays, ensuring proper portioning, garnish, and presentation.
• Monitor food preparation quantities, stock levels, and kitchen supplies, maintaining accurate logs for food safety.
• Communicate menu specials and out‑of‑stock items to Food & Beverage service staff.
• Prepare special meals or substitute items as needed.
• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching team members.
• Enforce company safety, security, and uniform policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.

Required profile

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
• 4–6 years of relevant culinary experience.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in a kitchen environment.
• No specific license or certification required.
