Spa Receptionist

About the role

Bab Al Shams Desert Resort in Dubai is looking for a Spa Receptionist. The role ensures professional, consistent spa services in line with Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standards and reception procedures, delivers exceptional guest service and helps the Spa team drive revenue and meet daily, monthly and annual sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately bill treatments, retail products and F&B via room charge, cash, online payment, credit card and other methods, and keep track of discounts and offers.
• Keep the reception area clean and tidy, welcome guests, and handle issues professionally while attending to guests promptly.
• Book treatments accurately within the right time frame and know the treatments, programmes and retail products, recommending suitable options to guests.
• Handle general administration such as reports, forms and checklists, and keep reception supplies ready.
• Share relevant information with therapists, the Duty Manager and the senior team, and communicate guest matters, product or equipment needs and technical requests to other departments.
• Drive treatment and retail sales, including promotions and treatment launches, and assist the Senior Therapist with space and rota management.
• Help set up treatment rooms and wet areas, replenish amenities and toiletries, and assist guests with the sauna, steam and relaxation pool.
• Monitor spa facilities and processes, keep the Senior Therapist and Spa Manager informed of issues, and follow fire, hygiene, health and safety policies.
• Take part in regular trainings and Spa meetings, and uphold the resort's grooming and LQA standards.
