Spa Therapist

About the role

The Spa Therapist will deliver a range of massage and body treatments to hotel guests, ensuring comfort, safety and a memorable wellness experience. The role involves assessing guest needs, maintaining a clean treatment environment, and promoting spa services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide massage services using appropriate props and products.
• Perform body treatments such as scrubs, wraps and hydrotherapy.
• Assess guest health information and contraindications before each service.
• Escort guests to and from treatment rooms and arrange the workstation.
• Promote and sell spa and retail offerings to guests.
• Clean, sterilize tools and maintain the treatment area throughout the shift.
• Monitor treatment schedule and adhere to time limits.
• Handle inappropriate guest behavior according to Marriott International procedures.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• At least one year of relevant spa or massage experience.
• Current state or regional massage license.
• Maintain current licensure and certifications as required by regional regulations.
