Spain–UAE International Tax Associate

About the role

We are expanding our Spanish Desk and seek a junior tax professional with hands‑on experience in Spain–UAE cross‑border taxation. The role supports individuals, entrepreneurs and businesses relocating, investing or structuring activities between the two jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Spanish and UAE tax residency analyses.
• Apply the Spain–UAE Double Tax Treaty to client situations.
• Advise on tax implications for individuals moving between Spain and the UAE.
• Assess Spanish tax exposure of UAE residents and corporate structures.
• Evaluate UAE corporate tax and shareholder considerations.
• Review international corporate and holding structures and related cross‑border transactions.
• Prepare tax residency certificates and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with accountants, tax advisers and tax authorities in both countries.
• Draft written tax analyses and client recommendations.
• Support practical implementation of relocations, including UAE residence visas and immigration processes when required.

Required profile

• Previous professional experience in Spanish taxation.
• Direct exposure to Spain–UAE cross‑border tax matters.
• Academic background in tax, accounting, economics, law or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and drafting abilities.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Commercially minded approach with flexibility to assist on UAE visa and residency issues.
