Specialist Consultant Gastroenterologist – Government Sector

About the role

A leading healthcare organization in the UAE is expanding its medical team and seeks an experienced Specialist/Consultant Gastroenterologist to deliver comprehensive gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary care in a modern, government‑run setting.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide spectrum of gastrointestinal and liver disorders for both out‑patient and in‑patient populations.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy, including gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
• Conduct advanced procedures such as ERCP and EUS when clinically indicated.
• Provide pre‑procedure assessment, post‑procedure follow‑up, and coordinate multidisciplinary case discussions.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, contribute to audits, and support quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• MBBS, MD or equivalent medical qualification with recognized postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
• Internationally recognised specialist credentials (e.g., UK CCT/MRCP, American Board, Australian Board, South African Board).
• Significant experience in diagnostic and therapeutic gastroenterology, preferably in a tertiary‑care or multispecialty hospital.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to patient‑centred care.
