Specialist Electrical Engineer - Offshore Project

About the role

The Specialist Electrical Engineer will provide electrical engineering expertise across FEED, detailed engineering, EPC and commissioning phases for ADNOC offshore projects. The role ensures that all electrical systems are designed, executed and commissioned in line with ADNOC standards, international codes and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and review electrical calculations, studies and design deliverables for offshore oil and gas facilities.
• Develop and review single line diagrams, load lists, load flow, short‑circuit, motor‑starting, protection‑coordination and power‑system analyses.
• Design earthing, lightning protection and MV/LV power distribution systems.
• Prepare equipment datasheets and specifications for transformers, switchgear, UPS, generators, VFDs, motors, lighting and hazardous‑area equipment.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC offshore standards, IEC, IEEE and NFPA codes.
• Participate in vendor evaluations, technical clarifications and review contractor documents for compliance.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (process, instrumentation, mechanical, civil, telecommunications, operations) throughout project execution.

Required skills

• Electrical engineering calculations and studies (load flow, short‑circuit, motor starting, protection coordination, power system analysis).
• Design of MV/LV distribution, earthing and lightning protection.
• Preparation of equipment datasheets and specifications for transformers, switchgear, UPS, diesel generators, VFDs, motors and lighting systems.
• Knowledge of ADNOC offshore standards, IEC, IEEE and NFPA codes.
• Experience with hazardous‑area electrical equipment and cathodic protection interfaces.
