Specialist – Emergency Medicine (Full-Time)

About the role

Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital is seeking a Specialist in Emergency Medicine to join its dynamic Emergency Department. The role involves delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered emergency care in a fast‑paced clinical environment, ensuring timely assessment, diagnosis and management of acute conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care for patients presenting with acute and critical conditions.
• Triage, assess, and stabilize patients in accordance with international emergency care standards and hospital protocols.
• Manage a high volume of patients efficiently while maintaining quality and safety of care.
• Perform emergency procedures and interventions as required.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and appropriate patient disposition.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality‑improvement initiatives, and departmental activities.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records in line with regulatory requirements.
• Support junior medical staff and contribute to clinical teaching when required.

Required profile

• Medical degree with specialization in Emergency Medicine.
• Board certification or equivalent (Arab Board, Syrian Board, European, UK or American Board preferred).
• Valid DOH license or eligibility for Specialist Emergency Medicine.
• Minimum 3‑5 years of relevant experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• Proven ability to manage high patient volumes in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication and teamwork skills.
