Specialist Emergency Medicine

About the role

Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital (SSBZH), part of the M42 group, is seeking a Specialist in Emergency Medicine to join its Emergency Department. The role delivers high-quality, patient-centred emergency care in a fast-paced clinical environment, ensuring timely assessment, diagnosis and management of a wide range of acute conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care for patients presenting with acute and critical conditions.
• Triage, assess and stabilise patients in line with international emergency care standards and hospital protocols.
• Manage a high volume of patients efficiently while maintaining quality and safety of care.
• Perform emergency procedures and interventions as required.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and appropriate patient disposition.
• Take part in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives and departmental activities.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient record documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
• Support junior medical staff and contribute to clinical teaching when required.

Required profile

• Medical degree with specialisation in Emergency Medicine.
• Board certification or equivalent (Arab Board, Syrian Board, European, UK or American Board preferred).
• Valid DOH license or eligibility for Specialist Emergency Medicine.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• Proven ability to manage high patient volumes in a fast-paced environment.
