Specialist Engineer – Asset & SPIR Coordination

About the role

The Specialist Engineer – Asset & SPIR Coordination is responsible for managing asset information and coordinating Spare Parts & Interchangeability Record (SPIR) activities across oil and gas facilities. The role ensures data integrity, supports safe operations, and facilitates decision‑making throughout the asset lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage SPIR activities for oil & gas assets, ensuring standardisation and interchangeability of spare parts.
• Review and validate SPIR data received from OEMs and vendors for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain and regularly update SPIR databases and related asset records.
• Liaise with engineering, maintenance, procurement, and operations teams to align SPIR data with project specifications and company standards.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, OEM specifications, and internal quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of procurement and expediting experience within EPC or PMC projects.
• At least 5 years of offshore project experience.
• Proven experience in PMC/client representative roles within the oil & gas sector.
• Strong hands‑on background in SPIR coordination and asset information management.
