Specialist - Events

About the role

The Department of Finance in Abu Dhabi is seeking an Events Specialist to support the planning, organization, and execution of corporate events. You will coordinate logistics, manage budgets, align branding, and work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver seamless and impactful experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing employee engagement activities, conferences, workshops, and recognition programs.
• Coordinate venue selection, vendor management, equipment setup, and catering arrangements.
• Manage on‑site execution, including setup, rehearsals, real‑time issue resolution, and dismantling.
• Oversee guest registration, seating, and overall attendee management.
• Serve as the primary contact for internal teams, ensuring event requirements are met.
• Handle procurement processes: raise Purchase Requests, Purchase Orders, and Statements of Work, and maintain expense records.
• Collaborate with creative and design teams to ensure branding consistency across all event materials.
• Prepare and monitor event budgets, negotiate with vendors, and track cost efficiency.
• Collect feedback, analyze event outcomes, and provide reports with improvement recommendations.

Required profile

• Minimum 36 months (3 years) of experience in event coordination or a related field.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and stakeholder expectations.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
