Specialist - Family Medicine

About the role

The Royal Khalifa City Hospital is seeking a qualified Specialist in Family Medicine to provide high‑quality, ethical clinical care to patients. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive medical services while ensuring patient safety and adherence to governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver professional, ethical, and high‑quality clinical care to patients.
• Monitor and manage clinical risks associated with direct patient care.
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance and quality‑management standards.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date medical records.
• Promote continuous professional development for self and colleagues.
• Administer Executive Health Program examinations regularly.
• Order diagnostic laboratory and X‑ray examinations, interpret results, and prescribe appropriate therapy.
• Provide immunizations, prescribe medications, and refer patients to specialists when needed.
• Participate in in‑service training programs, conferences, and continuing education.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience at Specialist level (independent of country).
• At least 1 year Specialist experience in a Tier 1 country as defined by UAE regulator.
• Basic medical degree plus recognized specialty qualification/fellowship.
• Certification and registration in a specialty recognised by UAE healthcare authority.
• Active and valid life‑support certifications (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP).
• Eligibility for registration with relevant UAE healthcare authority (e.g., Royal College, Arab Board).
