Specialist Lifting Operation Engineer

About the role

KBR is expanding its Project Management Consultancy team for a high‑profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi. The Specialist Lifting Operation Engineer will plan, engineer, coordinate and supervise all lifting and rigging activities for the ADNOC Offshore LTDP Package 4 project, ensuring safety, efficiency and compliance with ADNOC standards and international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and approve lifting studies and plans for routine and critical lifts.
• Develop lift methodologies for offshore modules, structures, piping spools, equipment and heavy packages.
• Verify crane capacities, load calculations, lift radii, ground bearing pressures and rigging configurations.
• Provide lifting engineering support during fabrication, transportation, installation, commissioning and hook‑up.
• Coordinate lifting activities with construction, marine, commissioning and operations teams.
• Participate in SIMOPS planning, HAZID, HAZOP, JSA, TRA and toolbox talks to ensure HSE compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in planning, engineering and supervising lifting and rigging operations.
• Familiarity with ADNOC Offshore standards and international lifting regulations.
• Ability to conduct engineering assessments for complex, non‑routine lifts.
• Strong knowledge of safety and compliance procedures, including risk assessments.
