Specialist Pipeline Engineer – Offshore FEED Project

About the role

KBR is expanding its Project Management Consultancy team for a high‑profile offshore FEED project in Abu Dhabi. The Specialist Pipeline Engineer will lead technical design and oversight of offshore pipeline systems, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards and alignment with safety, operability and constructability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and review FEED deliverables for offshore pipelines, subsea flowlines and risers, verifying routing, sizing, wall thickness and material selection against ADNOC Offshore standards.
• Review and approve EPC contractor calculations, specifications and ensure adherence to client HSE policies and quality standards.
• Embed integrity management in design, including corrosion protection, cathodic protection, coating selection and stress/fatigue analyses.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces with process, subsea, structural, geotechnical and marine engineering teams.
• Support HAZID/HAZOP studies, identify pipeline‑specific risks and apply ALARP principles.
• Assess installation methods (S‑lay, J‑lay, reel‑lay) and review seabed surveys, vessel requirements and constructability studies.
• Prepare and maintain technical registers, action trackers and regular progress reports for ADNOC Offshore PMC management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Pipeline Engineering (Master’s degree advantageous).
• Minimum 15 + years of oil & gas experience, with at least 5–7 years in offshore FEED or detailed engineering.
• Proven experience on shallow‑water offshore projects in the Middle East and prior work in PMC roles for ADNOC offshore projects.

Required skills

• Offshore pipeline and subsea engineering design.
• Knowledge of DNV‑ST‑N001, DNV‑ST‑N002, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8 and API standards.
• Familiarity with ADNOC Offshore specifications.
• Pipeline stress, fatigue and integrity analysis tools.
• Corrosion protection, cathodic protection and coating design.
• Experience with subsea pipeline installation, WHT and marine operations.
