Specialist Project Engineer (EPC)

About the role

KBR is seeking a Specialist Project Engineer (EPC) to join its Abu Dhabi team and support a large on‑shore mega EPC project. The role focuses on delivering instrumentation and control solutions across the full project lifecycle, from detailed design through construction, pre‑commissioning, commissioning, start‑up and hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the instrumentation and control (I&C) scope for a mega EPC project, ensuring technical compliance and schedule adherence.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate I&C systems into overall plant design.
• Oversee construction activities, pre‑commissioning tests, commissioning, start‑up and final hand‑over to the client.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and field personnel.
• Ensure all work follows KBR’s safety, quality and sustainability standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrument Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 17 years of experience in oil & gas construction project execution, preferably on mega EPC contracts.
• Proven track record managing I&C activities through all project phases.
• Hands‑on experience with on‑shore oil & gas facilities.
