Specialist Project Engineer – EPC (Onshore Mega Projects)

About the role

KBR Engineering is seeking a Specialist Project Engineer (EPC) to join its on‑shore mega‑project team in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on the full project lifecycle of large oil and gas construction contracts, from detailed design through construction, commissioning, start‑up and hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all phases of EPC projects, ensuring technical compliance and schedule adherence.
• Oversee construction activities, manage site commissioning and supervise start‑up operations.
• Drive hand‑over processes and ensure smooth transition to operations teams.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including instrumentation & control, to resolve engineering issues.
• Maintain project documentation and support project execution reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrument Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 17 years (≈204 months) of experience in oil & gas construction project execution.
• Proven experience on on‑shore mega EPC projects, covering construction, commissioning, start‑up and hand‑over.
• Strong understanding of instrumentation and control systems throughout the project lifecycle.
