Specialist Psychiatrist – School Project

About the role

We are seeking a Specialist Psychiatrist to join our Abu Dhabi school project within the Royal Health Group. The role involves delivering comprehensive psychiatric care to students and staff, ensuring mental health wellbeing in an educational setting.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to diagnose mental health conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments and patient needs.
• Diagnose mental health disorders using DSM‑5 criteria.
• Prescribe medications, monitor effects, and adjust treatment as necessary.
• Provide psychotherapy, including individual and group therapy.
• Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
• Participate in professional development and stay updated on psychiatric advances.
• Engage in community outreach to promote mental health awareness.

Required profile

• Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a residency program in psychiatry.
• Board certification in psychiatry.
• Valid medical license.
• Proficiency in therapeutic modalities and psychiatric evaluation techniques.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
