Specialist QA/QC Engineer

About the role

KBR is expanding its Project Management Consultancy team for a high‑profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi. The Specialist QA/QC Engineer will support the ADNOC PMC project, initially based in the client or contractor office and later moving to the fabrication yard during the EPC phase.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 standards.
• Prepare and review quality plans, procedures, inspection test plans (ITPs) and method statements.
• Conduct internal audits, support external audits and certification processes.
• Monitor and inspect work to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and standards.
• Review and approve material submittals and perform inspections, tests and verifications.
• Identify non‑conformities, drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare QA/QC reports, inspection reports, NCRs and audit findings, ensuring proper documentation flow.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams on quality matters and provide updates in project meetings.
• Identify quality risks, ensure HSE and regulatory compliance and participate in root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or related discipline).
• 15 + years of experience in QA/QC roles within construction, oil & gas, manufacturing or infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience with ISO‑based quality systems and audit processes.
