Specialist Rotating Engineer

About the role

Worley, a global leader in energy, chemicals and resources, is seeking a Specialist Rotating Engineer to join its Abu Dhabi team. The role focuses on mechanical rotating equipment engineering across FEED, EPC and PMC phases for large‑scale oil & gas and petrochemical projects.

Key responsibilities

• Champion project safety culture and lead engagement activities.
• Identify, evaluate and resolve mechanical rotating equipment engineering issues.
• Review and approve contractor deliverables, including equipment design, system layouts, specifications, calculations and material requisitions.
• Attend technical meetings with owners, licensors, contractors and vendors, and participate in design reviews, 3D model reviews, constructability, SIL, HAZOP and HAZID sessions.
• Supervise and ensure compliance of contractor designs with project specifications, codes, standards and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in oil & gas or petrochemical industry, with at least 5 years in a similar senior role on mega projects.
• Proven FEED, EPC and PMC experience, including offshore projects and ADNOC standards.
• Strong background in rotating equipment design, licensing and vendor coordination.
