Specialist – Static & Package Equipment for Offshore Water Injection

About the role

The Specialist will design, review, specify, procure, install and commission static and packaged equipment for offshore water injection facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and supporting brownfield modifications and offshore integration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering of static equipment such as pressure vessels, separators, filters, tanks, heat exchangers and pigging systems.
• Manage package equipment engineering for water‑injection pump packages, chemical‑injection skids, produced‑water treatment units, nitrogen generation and utility packages.
• Assess existing offshore facilities for tie‑ins, upgrades and constructability, supporting brownfield and offshore integration studies.
• Prepare technical requisitions, evaluate bids, monitor vendor compliance and resolve fabrication issues.
• Support quality assurance, inspection and testing activities, including FAT, SAT and performance testing.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL and risk assessments and ensure HSE and process‑safety compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred); Chartered Engineer accreditation is a plus.
• 15‑18 years of Oil & Gas engineering experience with at least 5 years on offshore EPC brownfield projects.
• Proven experience with static and packaged equipment for offshore water‑injection or produced‑water treatment, preferably on ADNOC or Middle‑East projects.

Required skills

• Design and analysis of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, filters, pigging systems and storage tanks.
• Engineering of water‑injection pump packages, chemical‑injection skids, produced‑water treatment units, nitrogen generation and utility packages.
• Knowledge of ASME Section VIII, ASME B31.3, API 610, 650, 661, 660, 682 and ADNOC standards.
• Proficiency with PV Elite, Compress, HTRI, AutoCAD, SmartPlant Review, AVEVA Engineering and MS Office.
