Specialist - Statistics & Data Analysis

About the role

The Specialist – Statistics & Data Analysis will support the Enterprise Command & Control (ECC) function of the RTA by delivering official transport statistics, operating data systems and products, and maintaining data matrices in line with approved policies and governance frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Calibrate the ECC transport model using RTA and external data sources, and integrate road, public‑transport, demographic and land‑use information for scenario planning.
• Analyse transport‑network performance indicators and road‑traffic data, and prepare recommendations for the Strategic Planning Department and other stakeholders.
• Develop and enhance the transport statistics matrix and the overall statistics framework in accordance with data‑governance standards.
• Collect, classify and analyse transport‑related data across roads, mobility and traffic systems, providing decision‑support insights.
• Prepare analytical reports and studies, share them with internal entities, and support strategic planning of the transport network.
• Manage internal and external data‑request processes, ensuring compliance with RTA data standards and governance practices.
• Update and maintain statistics in Dubai Digital systems, validate official statistics for public releases and the RTA Annual Book.
• Operate the transport data‑product development system, gather business requirements for dashboards and use cases, and supervise delivery.
• Strengthen analytics workflows and quality controls to improve data‑product quality.

Required profile

• Strong background in transport data analysis, statistical modelling and data governance.
• Experience working with large‑scale data systems and producing analytical reports for decision‑making.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple internal departments and external partners.
