About the role

The Specialist Technology Regulations & Business Management role supports Group IT Risk and Cybersecurity at Emirates NBD Group. It is dedicated to UAE nationals and focuses on proactive risk decisions, regulatory compliance, and AI governance across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead proactive engagement with business units and regulators to embed security as an enabler and promote a risk‑aware culture.
• Track and report active IT risks, maintain the IT Risk register, and ensure timely remediation.
• Design, operationalise and continuously improve the Group AI governance framework, including risk‑tiering, assessments and controls.
• Monitor emerging technology, cyber, data‑privacy and AI regulations, translate them into actionable requirements and road‑maps.
• Transform the regulatory function to a data‑driven, automated advisory model using GRC platforms and analytics.
• Coordinate regulatory inspections, self‑assessments and attestations, and track remediation to closure.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in information security, technology risk or regulatory compliance, with at least 3 years in financial services.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in AI governance, AI risk management or data governance.
• Strong experience interacting with regulators in the UAE/GCC and leading transformation programmes.
• Relevant certifications such as CISM, CISSP, CRISC, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer, privacy or AI governance certifications.
