Sr. Automation Tester with IRS GFE required

About the role

The senior automation tester will ensure quality, security and reliability of software supporting an IRS code modernization initiative. You will translate project requirements into test plans, develop automated scripts, and collaborate with developers throughout the CI/CD pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and create comprehensive test plans and cases.
• Design, develop, execute and maintain both manual and automated test scripts using Selenium or Cypress.
• Set up and manage test environments for functional, regression, acceptance and other testing activities.
• Identify, document and track defects, working closely with development teams to achieve resolution.
• Perform backend testing of APIs and databases, including SQL‑based validation.
• Integrate testing activities into CI/CD processes and contribute to continuous improvement of test automation coverage.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Active IRS MBI clearance.
• Proven experience writing, maintaining and executing automated test scripts.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
