Sr. Range Services Technician

About the role

The Senior Range Services Technician supports the setup, maintenance and operation of secure test ranges used to evaluate equipment, vehicles and systems. Working on the XRANGE facility in Abu Dhabi, the role ensures testing environments are safe, compliant and ready for client‑driven trials.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain test range sites, including equipment, barriers, targets and infrastructure.
• Provide technical support for the deployment, operation and calibration of testing equipment and mobile instrumentation.
• Conduct inspections, safety checks and routine maintenance of range facilities and assets.
• Operate testing systems, record data and assist engineers during vehicle, ballistic and environmental trials.
• Manage inventory of tools, spare parts and ensure timely procurement or replacement.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical/mechanical maintenance, preferably in a defence or test‑range environment.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
• Physically fit and able to operate various vehicles and work in challenging outdoor conditions.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to follow SOPs and safety regulations.
