Staff Nurse - Adult Medical Surgical

About the role

A reputable healthcare organization in Dubai is looking for a qualified and compassionate Adult Medical and Surgical Ward Nurse. The nurse provides high-quality care to patients recovering from medical conditions, surgeries and various treatments, in a hospital ward setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, monitoring and treatment of patients in the medical and surgical ward
• Monitor patients' vital signs, progress and overall condition, and report changes to the medical team
• Administer medications, IV fluids and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Assist patients with daily living activities, mobility and post-operative care
• Prepare patients for procedures, surgeries and diagnostic tests
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatments and progress
• Ensure compliance with infection control policies, safety standards and hospital protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families about treatment, recovery and discharge instructions
• Maintain a safe, clean and supportive care environment

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a medical and surgical ward in a hospital
• Valid nursing license from the home country
• Eligibility for a nursing license in Dubai (DHA eligibility, license or willingness to obtain)
• Experience in accredited or tertiary care hospitals is an advantage
