Staff Nurse - Dermatology Clinic TP

About the role

The Dermatology Clinic at American Hospital is seeking a full‑time Staff Nurse to deliver age‑specific, patient‑centered care. The role involves performing a wide range of dermatological procedures and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high‑quality clinical outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and revise individualized care plans, and document all relevant data in the medical record.
• Perform and assist with dermatology‑specific procedures such as wound dressing, suture removal, PRP preparation, laser therapies, and HydraFacial treatments.
• Maintain supplies and equipment, ensure compliance with Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) education requirements, and participate in unit meetings and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Administer narcotic and controlled drugs safely, handle emergency devices, and uphold a safe environment for patients and staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (minimum three‑year program) or equivalent two‑year degree and registration as a Registered Nurse in Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand, or Australia.
• Valid license/registration to practice in the home country or last place of employment and a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum two years of recent post‑graduate experience in dermatology nursing, with demonstrated ability to assess physical and psychological patient needs.

• Wound dressing and suture removal
• Blood extraction and centrifugation for Platelet‑Rich Plasma (PRP)
• Ultraviolet therapy, electrocautery support, and mole mapping
• Iontophoresis, microneedling radiofrequency, fractional laser, broadband light, Erbium YAG laser, and vascular laser procedures
• Skin excisions, biopsies, incision and drainage, cryotherapy, patch testing, mesotherapy, and HydraFacial treatment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
