Staff Nurse – Emergency Preparedness

About the role

The Staff Nurse – Emergency Preparedness will deliver age‑appropriate patient care within Al Dhafra Hospitals, supporting the organization’s mission, vision and values. The role involves coordinating emergency response, medication administration and comprehensive patient assessment while promoting health education.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in line with hospital policies and nursing scope of practice.
• Coordinate individualized care from first contact through discharge, ensuring seamless hand‑over.
• Administer medications safely, monitor patient responses and report adverse drug reactions.
• Respond to emergencies according to established protocols and support the interdisciplinary team.
• Supervise and mentor practical nurses, junior staff and student nurses; act as a preceptor for new staff.
• Participate in performance reviews, organizational change initiatives and annual evaluations.
