Staff Nurse - Emergency Room

About the role

The Staff Nurse in the Emergency Room is responsible for coordinating comprehensive nursing care, delivering direct patient care, and supporting patients and families throughout their treatment journey. The role aligns with SSMC’s mission, vision, and values and follows the Nursing Scope of Practice and Professional Nurses Code of Conduct for Abu Dhabi and the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyze comprehensive assessment data (physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive, spiritual) to determine patient diagnoses and issues.
• Develop culturally appropriate, evidence‑based individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Implement care plans using evidence‑based interventions, perform treatments and procedures, and administer medications according to organizational policies.
• Document all aspects of the care plan, including modifications, in the patient’s health record.
• Communicate relevant information across all levels of care and ensure continuity of care.

Required profile

• Registered nurse licensed to practice in Abu Dhabi/UAE and familiar with the Professional Nurses Code of Conduct.
• Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency department patients.
