Staff Nurse – Medical & Surgical ICU

About the role

The Al Dhafra Hospitals team is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to join the Medical & Surgical ICU in Madinat Zayed. You will deliver age‑appropriate, evidence‑based patient care while upholding the organisation’s mission, vision and professional nursing standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in accordance with hospital policies and ICU scope of service.
• Supervise and mentor practical nurses, junior staff and student nurses; act as a preceptor and in‑charge when delegated.
• Identify significant changes in patient condition, initiate appropriate actions and communicate with physicians or supervisors.
• Coordinate individualized care from admission through discharge, including discharge planning.
• Administer medications safely, monitor patient responses, report adverse drug reactions and adhere to narcotic policies.
• Respond to emergencies following organisational procedures and promote a collaborative, interdisciplinary team environment.
