Staff Nurse – Medical & Surgical

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Staff Nurse to deliver comprehensive medical and surgical care within our Al Ain facility. The role involves direct patient assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation in line with Abu Dhabi nursing standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, ensuring safe medication administration and adherence to clinical protocols.
• Supervise and mentor practical nurses, midwives, junior staff and student nurses, acting as a preceptor and in‑charge as required.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
• Identify and respond to changes in patient condition, report to physicians, and participate in emergency response procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of clinical experience post‑qualification in a medical‑surgical setting (experience waiver for UAE nursing graduates after internship).
• Current registration with the Abu Dhabi nursing regulatory body and adherence to the Professional Nurses Code of Conduct.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team and to mentor junior staff.
