Staff Physician – Allergy & Immunology

About the role

The Respiratory Institute is seeking a qualified Staff Physician (Consultant) specializing in Allergy & Immunology. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team to diagnose, prevent, and treat allergic and immunologic conditions for patients within the institute.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Allergy specialty, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and specialized medical interventions.
• Analyze laboratory results, imaging, and other diagnostic reports to determine patient conditions.
• Perform allergy testing, immunotherapy, and appropriate surgical procedures when indicated.
• Document clinical findings, treatment plans, and follow‑up notes in patient records.
• Collaborate with other medical and non‑medical staff to ensure coordinated, high‑quality care.
• Participate in committees, task forces, and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to ethical standards, regulatory guidelines, and institutional policies.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD, MBBS, MBChB, DO) with recognized specialty certification in Allergy & Immunology.
• For Tier 1 country physicians: minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience; for Tier 2: minimum 5 years.
• Valid medical license/registration in the country of last employment.
• Ability to maintain certification requirements where applicable.
• Strong communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.

Required skills

• Clinical expertise in allergy and immunology diagnosis and management.
• Proficiency in performing allergy testing and immunotherapy procedures.
• Ability to interpret laboratory and imaging results.
• Experience with prescribing and managing pharmacologic therapies.
