Staff Physician - Breast Medical Oncology

About the role

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Breast Medical Oncologist to join its comprehensive Breast Cancer Program. The role involves delivering specialised oncology care, coordinating multidisciplinary treatment plans, and contributing to clinical research.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical oncology care to breast cancer patients, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapy.
• Analyse patient records, test results and imaging to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment options and test outcomes to patients with empathy and clarity.
• Participate in the design, execution and monitoring of breast cancer clinical trials.
• Document patient progress, maintain detailed treatment records and coordinate referrals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high‑quality, culturally sensitive patient care.
• Uphold ethical standards, regulatory requirements and institutional policies.

Required profile

• MD, MBBS, MBChB or DO with board certification in Medical Oncology (American Board or Royal College of Canada).
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience for Tier 1 physicians or 5 years for Tier 2 physicians.
• Valid medical licence in home country or last place of employment.
• Ability to meet Maintenance of Certification requirements where applicable.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Arabic proficiency preferred.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
