Staff Physician Cardiothoracic Anesthesia

About the role

The Staff Physician in Cardiothoracic Anesthesia will join the Anesthesiology Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, delivering comprehensive anesthetic care for surgical and non‑surgical patients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑operative evaluations, risk stratification and develop individualized anesthesia plans.
• Administer a range of anesthesia modalities, including Target Controlled Infusion (TCI) and regional techniques.
• Utilize invasive and non‑invasive monitoring to ensure patient safety during procedures.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and assist in the care of critically ill patients across the campus.
• Provide postoperative care, including safe hand‑off of critically ill patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and offer consultation on anesthesia, sedation and pain‑management strategies.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge through continuous education and professional development.

Required profile

• Board‑certified anesthesiologist with experience in cardiothoracic cases.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally diverse environment.
• Strong communication skills for patient counseling and team collaboration.
