Staff Physician – Neuro‑Oncology

About the role

The Staff Physician in Neuro‑Oncology will join the Cancer Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, delivering expert diagnosis, treatment and prevention for patients with brain and nervous‑system tumours. This role combines direct patient care with multidisciplinary collaboration across the oncology team.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and provide comprehensive care to oncology patients, focusing on neuro‑oncology cases.
• Prescribe and administer medication, therapies and specialised treatments.
• Analyse medical records, test results and imaging to establish accurate diagnoses.
• Communicate procedures, test outcomes and treatment plans clearly to patients and families.
• Perform surgical procedures and other interventions appropriate to neuro‑oncology.
• Document patient encounters, treatment notes and referrals in the medical record.
• Collaborate with medical and non‑medical staff to ensure high‑quality, culturally sensitive care.
• Participate in committees, task forces and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD, MBBS, MBChB or equivalent) with a recognised specialisation in Medical Oncology from a Tier 1 country.
• Fellowship or subspecialty training in Neuro‑Oncology.
• Minimum two years of post‑qualification experience.
• Valid medical licence/registration in the home or most recent country of practice.
• Ability to meet Maintenance of Certification requirements where applicable.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
