Staff Physician – Primary Care

About the role

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is seeking a qualified Consultant in Primary Care to join its medical staff. The Staff Physician will deliver high‑quality clinical care, contribute to research and uphold evidence‑based practice within the Primary Care specialty.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and provide comprehensive care to patients within the Primary Care specialty.
• Prescribe medication, therapy and other specialized treatments to prevent or treat illness.
• Analyze records, reports and test results to diagnose medical conditions.
• Gather additional patient history and explain procedures, test results and treatment plans.
• Perform appropriate surgical procedures and operations when required.
• Document patient encounters and coordinate referrals to other health‑care professionals.
• Collaborate with medical and non‑medical staff to ensure quality patient treatment.
• Adhere to ethical, regulatory and clinical privilege guidelines.
• Participate in administrative functions such as committees, task forces and performance‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Tier 1 qualification (e.g., American Board of Medical Specialties, UK CCT) with at least two years post‑qualification experience (five years for Tier 2 candidates).
• Valid medical license/registration in the home country or last place of employment.
• Maintenance of Certification compliance where applicable.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a team of health‑care professionals.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build effective relationships with patients and staff.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is preferred.
