Staff Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

AI71 builds enterprise‑grade AI and data platform software for regulated, mission‑critical environments. As a Staff Quality Assurance Engineer you will define the quality strategy and testing architecture for both SaaS and on‑premise deployments, including fully air‑gapped installations.

Key responsibilities

• Define test architecture, quality standards and automation strategy across the platform.
• Lead decisions on test tooling, automation investment and release‑gate processes.
• Mentor senior QA engineers and raise the quality bar across multiple teams.
• Drive cross‑team initiatives to reduce defect escape rate and improve release confidence.
• Partner with engineering and product leadership on multi‑quarter quality strategy.
• Own the release sign‑off process for both SaaS and disconnected on‑prem releases.

Required profile

• 10+ years of QA, test engineering or quality architecture experience.
• At least 2 years focused on testing complex data‑driven applications, ML models or AI agents.
• Proven record of designing test architecture and quality processes at scale.
• Experience mentoring engineers who now operate independently at higher levels.
• Comfort architecting test strategy for both managed SaaS and air‑gapped on‑prem environments.

Required skills

• Python (Pytest) proficiency.
• Automation libraries such as Selenium or Playwright.
• HTTP testing with Requests library.
• Test architecture and automation strategy design.
