Steward - Hotel Kitchen and F&B Cleaning

About the role

Pullman Dubai Downtown, a 5-star hotel in the Business Bay district near the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall and the downtown area, is hiring a Steward. You will support the hotel's kitchen and Food & Beverage operations by keeping the workplace clean, hygienic, safe and well organized, while maintaining quality and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize kitchen and outlet areas, workstations, floors, walls and equipment according to hotel standards.
• Wash and sanitize crockery, cutlery, glassware, pots, pans and other kitchen utensils.
• Operate dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Collect, segregate and dispose of waste according to hotel procedures, and keep waste disposal areas clean following recycling procedures.
• Monitor the availability of kitchen and F&B items and cleaning supplies, reporting low stock to the supervisor.
• Follow all hygiene, food safety and sanitation procedures, including HACCP standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Steward in a hotel or restaurant.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to focus on guest needs and remain calm and courteous at all times.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene, sanitation and cleaning procedures.
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling and operation of dishwashing equipment is preferred.
