Steward – Hotel Utility Cleaner

About the role

The Steward (Utility Cleaner) plays a vital part in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness across our hotel’s departments. Working in a fast‑paced environment, you will ensure that linen, dishware and other hotel assets are spotless and ready for guest use.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and prepare fresh linen, dining ware and other hotel equipment.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as dishwashing machines, hand‑wash stations, linen washers and dryers.
• Transport dishware, linens and other items between departments.
• Follow safety procedures, report accidents or unsafe conditions, and uphold quality standards.
• Assist other team members to achieve common goals and maintain a professional appearance.

Required profile

• Ability to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Physical stamina to stand, sit or walk for extended periods and perform overhead, bending, twisting and stooping movements.
• Commitment to a safe workplace and adherence to company policies.
• No specific education or prior experience required.

Required skills

• Operating dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment.
• Basic knowledge of hotel housekeeping procedures.
