Stewarding Supervisor

About the role

NH Collection Dubai The Palm is looking for a Stewarding Supervisor to supervise daily stewarding operations and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, sanitation and organisation across all kitchen and food and beverage back-of-house areas. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the stewarding team.
• Ensure kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware are properly cleaned and stored.
• Maintain hygiene and sanitation standards in line with hotel and HACCP requirements.
• Monitor the use of cleaning chemicals, equipment and supplies.
• Ensure waste is handled and disposed of according to hotel procedures.
• Inspect kitchens, dishwashing areas and storage areas regularly.
• Prepare duty rosters and allocate tasks according to operational needs.
• Train, guide and motivate stewarding team members.
• Coordinate with the Culinary and Food & Beverage teams.
• Monitor inventory and report shortages, breakages or equipment issues.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in stewarding, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Previous supervisory experience is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and in flexible shifts.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of hygiene, sanitation and HACCP.
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling.
• Strong leadership, organisation and communication skills.
