Storekeeper

About the role

The Storekeeper will support the hotel’s operations by receiving, organizing, and maintaining inventory across all departments. This role ensures that merchandise, perishables and supplies are stored safely, rotated correctly, and readily available for staff.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and stage merchandise by department, marking items for proper placement.
• Stack received goods on pallets or carts and deliver them to the appropriate areas.
• Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies, notifying supervisors of low stock.
• Store perishables correctly, rotate stock, and inspect deliveries for freshness, quality and accuracy.
• Reject damaged or incorrect items and adhere to food‑safety policies.
• Maintain cleanliness of refrigerators, freezers, floors, equipment and drains.
• Remove empty pallets, cardboard and trash, placing them in designated storage.
• Report accidents, injuries or unsafe conditions and complete required safety training.
• Follow all company policies, maintain a professional appearance and protect confidential information.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift and move items up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Willingness to work in a fast‑paced hospitality environment and follow food‑safety standards.
