Stores Controller

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Stores Controller to manage day‑to‑day site stores operations, ensuring materials are received, inspected, stored, issued, protected and accurately recorded to support project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and manage material delivery plans based on site conditions and requirements.
• Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Ensure safe storage of materials and issue them against authorized requisitions while maintaining full traceability.
• Maintain accurate stock records, conduct regular stock counts and reconcile inventory.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Logistics, Commercial and Project teams regarding material requirements and deliveries.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience in stores control, materials control or inventory management within construction or MEP projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction site stores operations, material handling, stock reconciliation and HSE requirements.
• Qualification in an appropriate discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Exposure to ERP or inventory management systems (preferred).
• Familiarity with MEP materials and forklift/lifting coordination (desirable).
