Stores Supervisor – Warehouse & Inventory Management

About the role

The Stores Supervisor will oversee daily store and warehouse operations, ensuring accurate receipt, storage, picking and issuance of materials for the hospital. This role maintains inventory records, coordinates with procurement, operations, finance and other departments, and ensures compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily store and warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking and issuing materials.
• Verify incoming goods against purchase orders, delivery notes and specifications.
• Maintain proper labeling, identification and organization of stock.
• Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts and physical inventory checks.
• Investigate and report discrepancies, damages, shortages and excess inventory.
• Prepare and process material requisitions, goods received notes, stock transfer notes and issue vouchers.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Operations, Finance and other departments regarding stock requirements and deliveries.
• Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices, monitor slow‑moving or obsolete stock and support internal and external audits.
• Supervise storekeepers, warehouse assistants and other store personnel, ensuring adherence to procedures, housekeeping and health‑safety standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in stores, warehouse, inventory or logistics operations.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong organizational, record‑keeping and communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP or inventory management systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Good knowledge of inventory control and warehouse procedures.
