Strategy and Excellence Director

About the role

The Strategy and Excellence Director will lead the development and implementation of the GDMO strategic vision, ensuring alignment across all departments and driving organisational capability to meet customer needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the GDMO strategy, mission, departmental goals and communication plans.
• Cascade strategic objectives and initiatives across GDMO departments.
• Lead efficiency and effectiveness improvement projects, including digitisation, automation, KPI development and process documentation.
• Manage project and change initiatives, establishing governance structures and collaborating with department heads.
• Oversee the Strategy and Excellence budget, securing funds and tracking expenditures.
• Build and develop talent within the Strategy and Excellence team, focusing on both soft and technical skills.
• Maintain strong relationships with GDMO directors to support and deliver the overall strategy.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years (120 months) of experience in strategic planning, project management or related fields.
• Proven leadership and strategic thinking abilities.
• Strong financial and budget management acumen.
• Ability to work in accordance with business policies and procedures.
