Strategy and Research Lead – Banking Growth (Contractor)

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a contractor to strengthen its strategic advisory team for banking clients. Over a 12‑month period, you will lead research and analysis that drives growth initiatives across the Middle East banking sector.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct banking industry analysis and research, focusing on Middle East trends and global connections.
• Maintain and update benchmark datasets for banking clients using media, broker reports, and client disclosures.
• Transform analysis and benchmarks into strategic insights and executive‑level presentation decks.
• Present findings to clients, address queries, and support client meetings.
• Collaborate with Deloitte’s advisory teams to integrate insights into broader growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in banking research, strategy or related consulting.
• Strong understanding of banking products, market dynamics, and regulatory environment in the Middle East.
• Proven ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, including pivot tables, macros and complex functions.
• Data visualization and charting capabilities.
• Research methodology and benchmarking techniques.
