Structural Design Engineer (All Levels) – Expression of Interest

About the role

GHD is seeking experienced Structural Design Engineers to join its growing Middle East team. This is an Expression of Interest campaign for engineers at all levels who want to contribute to a variety of building and infrastructure projects across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Perform structural engineering design activities, ensuring accuracy, technical quality and compliance with project requirements and international standards.
• Take personal responsibility and ownership of projects, delivering deliverables within programmed timescales.
• Share knowledge and mentor less‑experienced team members.
• Interpret and apply relevant client, industry and GHD standards.
• Collaborate with other GHD offices on local and international projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience on building and infrastructure projects.
• Working towards or Chartered Engineer status (MICE, MIStructE).
• Experience designing steel, concrete and masonry structures to American and British standards.
• Familiarity with UAE Authority design requirements.
• Proven ability to deliver projects from design through completion in multi‑disciplinary, multi‑office environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CSi ETABS, SAFE, Robot Structural Analysis, STAAD and Prokon.
• Experience using in‑house spreadsheets for structural calculations.
• Ability to work within a 3D design environment and follow BIM protocols.
